About
Branson, Missouri
area map
Branson has been termed the Entertainment Capitol of the World for
country, bluegrass and gospel music. Andy Williams, Mickey Gilley, the Osmonds,
and Jim Stafford are among the top active entertainers, with the Presleys,
Baldknobbers, and Shoji Tabuchi among the longest running shows in Branson
(over 20 years). And of course, Silver Dollar City is a must for all ages.
The newest major attraction in Branson is the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans
Museum and Theater, located at the West End of the Branson Strip. This
museum opened
July 2003 after being moved from Apple Valley, California. Based on rumors
and talk in Branson, this will be a big attraction, especially for those
who are in their late 40s and older!
During
the past decade, the Fall Season, Thanksgiving and Christmas have become
popular times to be in Branson as well as the traditional summer vacation
season.
Table Rock Lake, which is the largest lake in the Midwest and bordering Branson
on the South side, offers outstanding fishing, skiing, and scuba diving. Many
guests from Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, simply by-pass the Branson
music shows and relax all week at Table Rock Lake. You will not experience
a more picturesque scene, than the Kenny Rogers built, Branson Belle Paddle
Wheeler, navigating up and down Table Rock under a full moon.
If you want to experience Branson, MO, and the multitude of activities listed
above, I invite you to this wonderful family oriented area and would be thrilled
